Sunshine

Twelve noon. I just came from a muddy bicycle ride when I saw everybody looking in the sky. It was like in the movie "Independence Day" when everyone froze to take a look at those spaceships that seemed to tell them, "Perhaps you know what this means?". Someone shouted, "It's a bird!" and another said "It's a plane!". But of course it's a joke. Everyone was amazed of how the sun's rays created a circular rainbow around it from where we were looking. I don't know where else in the country had that spectacular view but the spectrum that was created by the droplets of water in the atmosphere (because it was cloudy) and the sun deserved a thousand "likes" on facebook.

At first I thought there was an eclipse which i wasn't aware of because everyone is using sunglasses to look at the sun. Of course I cannot look directly into it so I decided to use my digital camera and took a "no look shot". I took a few shots enjoying my ingenious move (only shows I'm starting to use my brain). And there you have it- my first entry to The National Geographic photography competition. LOL

Nature is really a perfect wonder. Had I been a dweller of the stone age, I would have praised this phenomena and brought some offerings. If I am an X-files cultist, I would say those aliens are going to abduct us and abuse us, sexually. But this a natural phenomenon and most of us came across the explanation back in our early science subjects.

The sun's rays are composed of different colors (the rainbow colors). When these rays strike the droplets of water in the air, the water acts as prism that spreads a group of colors called the spectrum. This is why the rainbow comes before or after the rain or where there is a consistent appearance of water such as the water falls. Because it is really going to rain that time and the sun is directly in our head at twelve noon, the good moment created a perfect circular rainbow.

The funny thing was about my neighbor who yelled at me when I was taking pictures on my terrace. She said, "You also have that sun there? I also have one here!" :)

Reloaded

Time goes fast. It was only friendster era when this blog turned stagnant. When I came back it's facebook age.

There are a lot of things to write but let's start by having a music video that i just created. Thanks to all youtube uploaders and the images in the internet i found the scariest faces on films. The music is from the band Tanya Markova. Like it!
